No way I would put a smaller engine than a Cleveland in my Pantera..but if I had to it would be the 5.4L. As an owner of a 70,000 mile 5.4 supercharged 2001 Mustang and having owned an earlier 4.6 liter Mustang there is just NO comparison between the two engines.

Also, I betcha the majority of those blown up 5.4's are due to driver ineptness and/or inexperience. I counted over 10 Lightnings at the local drag strip the other day with the majority of its drivers being NOS spraying kids!
