Great thorough photographs.

The one obvious thing that bothers me is:

It is advertised as a 74L - BUT to my knowledge all 74Ls had the gas cap on the exterior of the car at the driver's side black "vents". The fueling cap on this car is like the early cars - you have to open the rear deck.

Maybe when the gas tank was replaced it deleted the 74 gas fill geometry ???
