SMALL cracks, chips and gouges are TIG-weld-repairable, if the wheel is annealed afterwards to remove stresses from weld heat (and age). Annealing can be done in a kitchen oven, so that's not a deal-breaker. All Campys are stamped with the size somewhere on the rim.
