A/C question

Hi Guys,

I am installing A/C on a 72 Pantera that has had it totally removed in the past. All that remained was the evaporator. I have no experience with AC. I have installed a Kirk Evans compressor/alternator bracket to reduce the bulkhead bulge and have installed a modern type evaporator in front of the radiator. I have also installed a modern type rotary compressor and new expansion valve. My question is how do I get the capillary tube into the heater/evaporator box? I can see the little rubber grommet in the side of the case near the expansion valve so I assume this is where it goes in but how do I get it into the core? Do I have to take the heater box apart? This has been a lot of work!

Regards, Johnny
