Yes agreed but what this means is that you need to put a pound of 134r in every May rather that a pound of R12 every 2 years.

R12 is noticibley colder, i.e., better. It gets the air down to about 37 coming out of the vents.

I've gotten my 134 down to about 40-41. That's enough to make it obviously very "nippie" in the cabin, which is obvious if you are wearing just a t shirt.
