aerostar conversion

i cannot locate 4 bolt aerostar motors
live in a small town w limited junk yard opportunity
the gear on the 3 bolt appears to be the same
has anyone done this conversion with a threee bolt motor?
other than change location of mounting on regulator is there any other changes?
