Surely you are not refearing to moi?? The guy who put the low compresion boat anchor in his car because he was tired of mixing in octane boost?? I am not the one recommending 500 horsepower cams and such. BUT if someone is so inclined as to spend big money doing so, they should protect that investment by starting with something solid. Yeah I bet an FE built to 500 horse will way outlast your Cleveland built to 500 horse. Years from now they will be changing the oil while you change out your whole motor. You are right, speed is expensive, but skimping to get there is even more expensive. It is like the old commercial. You can pay me now, or pay me later.
