I purchased a Hitachi high torque starter and the wiring is different than the stock unit. There are three terminals on the starter. There are two large termainals, one with a wire to the motor and one without, and one to the plunger. I connected the cable to the large terminal with the motor connection and nothing happened. Connecting the wire to the other large terminal rotated the motor but no engagement. What the heck am I doing wrong? You know how much of a let down it is to have completed rebuilding all the mechanical systems and have something like this stop you from fireing it up.
