Here's the way to wire it. First disconnect the ground cable from the battery. Next move the heavy cable that goes from the solenoid on the firewall to the starter to the same post on the solenoid as the positive cable coming from the battery. Now run a new number 12 wire from the terminal on the solenoid that you just removed the heavy cable from to the small terminal on the starter. Next, connect the heavy cable to the post on the starter that is not the one that made it spin. Last, reconnect ground cable and you should be good to go.
