Hey Vince, regarding the air cleaner, I would stay away from the "dogbone". I had one. Looks cool, but is somewhat restrictive. I sold mine on eBay and bought an Edelbrock Elite cast aluminum (top) oval model with a 2" K&N filter from Summit Racing for $115. Works really well, looks classy. Plus, even with a 1/2" phenolic carb spacer on my Edelbrock Performer 4V, the top of the air cleaner is dead even height to my deck lid. You can go to a 3" or 4" if you don't mind blocking the rear view. I do not have the center portion of my engine cover.
