Air filters

I have owned 7260 for 18 months. Time to change the air filter. Piece of cake right ? Take the Fram air filter to Napa, cross the numbers bring home a Napa air filter. It does not fit, top of air cleaner won't close completly. OK maybe my cat only likes Fram. Bought a Fram.It didn't look right when in place. This time i stuck my head over the problem and realized i had the wrong air filter to begin with. HELP! What air filter does a stock 74 use? Thanks Chuck
