How did you replace the waterpump? I would be interested in that. Do you have any pictures?

Unfortunatley, I didn't take one picture of what was behind the flat firewall. I don't know why I didn't. It was probably because every time I was in there my hands were dirty and I didn't want to handle the camera. I always figured there'd be another time, then I sold the car. I really regret it because it came out perfect. (And it worked perfectly for years too!)

I removed the waterpump completely and had 2 round adapters made for 3/4 pipe elbows that went over the two holes left with the water pump removed. As you know, I moved the alternator next to the A/C compressor, so I cut the outer groove off of the crank pulley, making it a single groove. The lower part of the firewall is a belt gaurd.

I ran the two 3/4 hoses down underneath the car to the front in the usual fashion and they terminated at the electric water pump I mounted under the front trunk. From the pump, and 1 1/4 hose ran to the radiator, and another 1 1/4 hose ran from the radiator back to the thermostat housing. I made a custom t-stat housing from a hunk of aluminum where the 1 1/4 hose ran to with the radiator cap mounted on top. an overflow tank was mounted behind a custom cover on the passenger side that mimicked the gas tank heat shield.

It all actually ran in the reverse of how I explained it: radiator to pump, two 3/4 hoses out to front of block, through the block and out of the t-stat housing, back under the car to the radiator. I used 3 full body vavles at the electric water pump in case I ever had to change it, it could be a 4 bolt, 1 electrical clip 10 minute swap on the road with hardly any coolant loss. It was accessible from the front trunk because I laid the radiator forward.

Again, I truly am a dumbass for not taking a single picture of it.

Notice in the picture there is no overflow tank, or hoses, or wires of any kind. The engine bay was pretty dirty by this point as I drove this Pantera a lot! (Before kids!)
