Reply to "Alternator hot wire boot-BLACK! Where to find??"

OK, my "stock" boot had a number on it, MS-25171-1S. A quick Google search turned up a product from "Genuine Aircraft Hardware Co" that is exactly what I have on the car.

HOWEVER, I doubt that it came that way from Italy! I suspect some guy in Fresno, who built this car the way I found it, replaced the original rubber boot!

So, what DOES the original rubber boot on the hot lead look like???? In this picture from ??? it looks black and rather conventional!

Always something else than what's on my car....!!!
