Aluminum flywheel?

I have MME building an engine for me and the suggest highly that I use a steel flywheel on there engine. 408cu. I went from steel to aluminum on my pontiac, has the same 4" stroke as the MME, and runs perfect, better acceleration and deceleration. Is a cleveland that much diferent? Torque is torque...so I thought, and that is what will launch the car smoothly
anyone with pros and cons in pantera?
