I never even considered putting my MSD box in the cab after an experience my friend had with his, the box generated a high-pitched tone while running that drove him crazy.

I did check about the MSD box being in the engine bay at one point and the MSD Tech Support response to this query was 'the MSD box is designed to run in the environment of an engine bay'. Famous last words but what the heck
