This car had something put in it, but I am guessing by the cutout (more like a football than anything else) that it was a two post something or other....but since two post radios are no longer growing on trees.....and I really don't want to dink around with it.... I get to see if I can squeeze a single CD player in....but I don't think this unit and CD will function sideways.... I may need to dig into this forum to see what head units work!

We found in the GOose that unless you were just idling along, you never really needed a radio....the windows were always open as the AC never had enuf squirrels in the cage to push cold air out in quantities to cool the glass filled cabin!!! I am trusting that the AC in this car WILL work eventually and that we can finally enjoy some cruisin' music!!! Even if it is one CD at a time.....got no problem with that...! Smiler

I've got 5-3/4" of stereo to fit next to the tunnel and the AC hoses...It is going to be real close.....just need to find my sheet metal nibler....not sure where it ended up.....hate to use a cutoff wheel or an air saw near all the switches and such...mess galore!

Cheers!!!
Steve

At the first of the year I had Tommy Hodges Replace my entire Air Cond. along with some up grades and repair of some Shoddy work done by a past shop! The Air Now blow Ice Cold! just what we need here in the Valley!

Good Luck with your Car!
