Skip the desert.....Check out the east coast. Charlotte and Atlanta are huge. there are many small towns outside of the large metropolitan areas. You would be halfway between NYC and Miami. Wilmington NC is great place by the Atlantic ocean. We truly have 4 seasons. Just a thought!
