Go to any fabric or upholstery supply store and buy package of cover buttons in the size you need. Get a scrap of black vinyl (one called Madrid is an exact match to oem vinyl). It will take you about 3 minutes to make a button or an upholsterer will make them with a little press in less than a minute. (I doubt they would even charge you for them) When we retrimmed the entire interior of my car with leather, we made the leather cover button to match, threaded a heavy duty thread inside the hole, and then pulled tight when we were ready. Attached is a hard to see picture where you can still see the cord hanging out before we pulled it tight.
