I took 5754 out for a spin this evening to pick up my eldest at his soccer practice, and was waved down by a friend driving the other way. He asked if I wanted to hit the car show at the local A&W, and I figured, why not, I keep getting invited by the Mustang guys, and haven't had a chance to show up.
I dropped off my son, my 7-yr. old daughter jumped into the car and away we went.
There were about 150 cars out tonight, and it happened to be 'Ford Night'. Before I'd shut off the engine, I could already hear some guys talking about how it was a Pantera that Tim Horton died in - that reminded me to put my signs in the windows to explain what the car is (I made them up a couple of weeks ago and mount them in the side windows so that I can go off and enjoy the shows and know that people will be able to learn a bit about the Pantera without me there to tell 'em).
Anyway, they had the obligatory door prize draws (I always seem to miss by 1 digit), and then it was time for Best in Show ... - My daughter was proud as punch. What a nice way to end Fathers Day.
