4NHOTROD...... Thanks. The 'manual' that came with the 427 says that it needs the steel Mustang 5.0 EFI distributor gear to go with the cam. The distributor that Ford Racing recommends (MSD85840) is too big and it hits the back glass, so I have had to put a steel gear on to a MSD8478 distributor.
