I suggest you call the cam grinder of your choice (or 2, or 3...) on their Tech Lines. These guys make their living with cams while the rest of us may swap an occasional cam every 3 - 4 or so years. The aftermarket cam problem seems to stem from one of the two cam blank manufacturers in the U.S. EVERYONE including Ford, buy unground cam blanks from those guys. An undetermined number got released with bad cam drive gears cut on them. This is not something most are looking form nor is it easy to spot when it does happen. But now that everyone is aware, the number of bummers should drop rapidly. It didn't help that the 351-C takes a unique cam, its a low-production engine, and has been out of production for 25 years....
