Hi Bohdan, it's been a while since we've heard from you. I've wondered where you were at with the motor.

There is NO performance compromise in selecting the CHI 4V head over the AFD 2V head. The CHI 4V head is based upon CHI's 3V head, with the intake port enlarged to 4V size & location. The 3V head is in turn CHI's premium head. It will perform well as a "street" head for your 393 stroker.

I will not comment on the 2 plane 3V intake manifold available for CHI 3V heads, since you mentioned wanting the flexibility of using existing 4V intake manifolds.

Based on comments from Dan Jones, the Ferea valves used in the CHI street package have dropped a head or two, so I would recommend the additional expense for the race package, which uses a better grade of Ferea valve. Or else purchase the heads bare and equip them yourself.
