Reply to "B. Goyaniuk's motor questions"

It seems like 7 years ago quit a few people had engines Dynoed of different typs. I think it was published in Profils but it might have been in PI. At the time I was rebuilding my motor and talked to allot of people. I decided to build a 377 stroker, Scat Crank, 6.125 Eagle rods, Solid lifter, Ross pistons, Manley heavy duty Stainless valves, MPG intake plates, MPG stinger exhaust plates, Crower roller rockers and push rods. I decided to rev limit to 6,500 RPM to save the bottom end. I dynoed the engine with 4 different intakes and 3 carbs. With this combination using the old edl 351 dual plane you get 445 torque and 450 hp at 6,200RPM. After 6 years and 5 or more track events the engine runs perfect. The Blue Thunder intake makes more power over 6,200 RPM but less torque at 3,000RPM. I think you can make more HP and Torque but it will cost and reduce durability. Dennis at Pantera Performance has built many similar engines and had great success. The benifits are reduced cost and everything fits under the cover.
