I donot think the negative effects of a modest price rise, say from 'some' average of $35,000 to an average price of $45K would be significant.
Look what new cars cost, just for an "inflation-adjusted" value. Even when you consider that technology has taken a big jump from the late 1970's to now.
I don't see this increase as having a strong upward pressure on parts sales, or other areas that affect "current" owners, either.
Too rapid of a value rise woulddraw the 'wrong crowd'.
Personally, I believe the 'average' Pantera that was $25,000 back in 1997/8 is now $35K.
