Belt Squeel

I have a pulley alignment issue that is killing me. I am about to pull an Elvis.

I replaced the stock alternator on my car with a 130 amp internally cooled and regulated. I can not get rid of the belt squeeling. I have tried to shim it this way and the other. Tried a couple of different pulleys. I found a place where the bracket was up against the block casting. No luck.
Has anyone else experienced this problem who might have a suggestion? What is the part of the bracket for that reaches behind a cast ear on the block that has a bolt?
