And what if we want to keep the car 100% stock and rebuild or buy anew YORK style original compressor ..R-12 is available .. where would we go for that ???

To all consider your self warned ! LOL the R-22 in your house in the next couple years will also be discontinued .. and the new refigerant will NOT be compatible with your old HOME system .. The new refrigerant runs at double the pressure so the system will need to be replaced when it fails.
