To all consider your self warned ! LOL the R-22 in your house in the next couple years will also be discontinued .. and the new refigerant will NOT be compatible with your old HOME system .. The new refrigerant runs at double the pressure so the system will need to be replaced when it fails.

If you want an original york style compressor for your car here is the Ford part number for the compressor that went on my 74 L model.
D9ZZ-19V703-AARM
available from your local Ford Dealer.
it should mount right up with the brackets that are on the car( assuming it is still original).
