Personally, I use a Delco 'Freedom" battery from an MR-2 turbo, as the smallest, lightest lead-acid unit that has enough power to spin my mini-starter on a smoking-hot 10:1 engine. My experience tells me if the engine doesn't fire after 6-8 turns, I stop and figure out why rather than just grinding away. The battery being in a hole dropped in the front trunk floor, I also was interested in weight, as I'm not much into wrestling heavy parts these days..It weighs 26 lbs.
