Bigger & Faster Motors: What’s the Point ?

I have a question for you guys…..

If you don’t put your car on the track (the, I would never track my car guys) and don’t ever drive faster than the speed limit or traffic flow (the, that's illegal guys), why do you need a motor anymore than the stock 351 it came with ?

What’s the point of having more power and the expense it costs to have it if you don’t use it now and then ?

Is it just a BBB ego thing that one only talks about having ?

No insult or joke intended here.

What drives people to faster motors if they would never use the power ?
