I made the measurements today.

The front measurement (A in Joe's picture) was 4-11/16"

The rear measurement (B in Joe's picture) was 4-5/8"

Joe, the reference is the manifold's machined edges for sealing the tappet valley.

Technically a "flat mount" should have the same measurement front to rear, but there's always manufacturing tolerances. Not too far off from the 4-3/4" I predicted. Not that I'm bragging or anything.
