Julian, mine is but one example. With the rear area I welded tubes in the rockers for bolts to go through. In the front I actually cut open the rockers and built frame work actually welded to the inner structure with nut plates.

This works for me but there is I believe a problem for most here. My wire harness and Air conditioning lines originally ran through here. I am removing my A/C (I don't use A/C anyway) and it saves me about 100lbs. The wire harness I am using will be custom built so I can work around that.

So in that regard it would be interesting to see how others have secured theirs.
