The alternator need to be rewired. Every Pantera ammeter does or did this as far as I know. Mine did, until Tommy Hodges (a 16yr ex Hall machanic who now runs his own excellent shop) fixed this in 15 mins. I eventually changed the ammeter for a volt meter too, but have no bouncing - except for my eyeballs which tend to bounce around in their sockets at speed on our lousy highways!
