My ammeter gauge doesn't bounce at all, and never has since I've owned the car. When I bought my car over 3 years ago the seller told me it had a Shunt Resistor from Hall Pantera installed on either the alternator or ammeter. I honestly don't know what it is or how it works, but my gauge doesn't bounce.
