I love old vw's! In college I had a baja beetle and took it off-roading in Utah all the time with my buddies. That thing was tough as nails. In the winter, I'd go up the powerline trails when the snow was so deep that it would push over the hood of the car. Never got stuck. In the summer my room mate also bought one. I have pictures of it somewhere completely airborne on one of the trails behind the dorms. And those were just normal beetles with fiberglass fenders and bigger tires. Nothing like what you're building!
Very cool. I really want to build one as well some day. I need more time in this life... someone hurry up and figure out how to clone people.
