Brake fluid is also very corrosive, so expect that the paint under the felt will begin to lift and peel (if it hasn't already) and also develop surface rust. Spray/soak the area with simple green and blot it dry with an old towel. Repeat.

If your felt still adheres where the brake fluid was spilled, then the paint has not lifted.
