A simple bracket can be made from a piece of flat bar stock. Almost any plunger type switch can be used. A lever type switch works too. The plunger (or lever) of the switch must contact the brake pedal arm, and the original switch wiring can be intercepted and extended to the new switch. It's actually quite easy to do.
