Appreciate the insight BD!..... Actually removing the unit completely is exactly what I am going to be doing. After speaking with Bob Byars at Precision Proformance and Marino Perna at Pantera East each said the same thing. The valve was a good idea back in the 70's but todays tires are a great deal better and so the valve essentially is no longer needed.

I tell you it is a relief to hear as it cleans up that front compartment.
