Congrats on your "new" Pantera! And welcome to the family.

That's not an original master cylinder, which means it may be less likely to need replacement. Start by flushing your brake fluid. I find the Motiv Bleeder to be a fantastic tool to flush old brake fluid. Order some ATE SuperBlue fluid to simplify your flush - you'll know when all the old fluid is out of the lines when it runs blue out of the caliper. And, the ATE has excellent performance properties - better than most - and is a relative bargain!

And while we're talking about brakes, if your car still wears it's original Girling calipers, order a set of Porterfield brake pads - they're about the best thing you can do for stock brakes.
