Jan, the link doesn't work for me (I don't have permission?), but I wouldn't cut it off in case some parts/cuttings end up in your engine. It may be a pain, but can't you just remove the valve cover (it should be the easy one) and push it out from the inside? If you didn't install it, this may be the safest way in case the previous owner did something dumb like attach a clamp on the inside.

Also, was I asleep, or do you now have THREE Panteras? That shiny new GT5S looks awful comfy in your garage...
