Hi Jan,
I wouldn't cut it off yet. The rubber may rip if we try and use a channel lock on the bottom of the rubber where the hose clamp is now. I think that's where the rubber from the breather is sticking to the valve cover. What if you take that hose clamp off and wrapped some string around that area to protect the rubber from the jaws off the channel lock and then try to work it off with the channel locks? If you don't get to it, maybe I can come by and give it a try? I may not explain it so good but I have an idea in my mind! Randy
