Amerisport sells a kit that makes the hump narrower, allowing the passenger seat to slide further back.

With a 4.6 modular V8 installed you can flatten the firewall completely, no hump.

Windsor motors have a coolant pump with a shorter "snout" available which should allow the hump to be flattened a bit.
