This is the hump that protrudes into the passenger compartment between the seats. It's there to accomodate the water pump, alternator, etc. which extends beyond the bulkhead. Due to its location, it limits how far back the passenger seat can go, not to mention just taking up space in general. It's common to all stock Pantera's. At least the L's and Pre-L's. Kirk's kit goes for around $1000 as I recall. He has a website, www.panteracars.com and it appears he is starting another one www.amerisportindustries.com which is under construction.
