Cam Thrust Button vs. Stock Retainer...

I haven't been able to find much info on whether I need to install a Thrust Button or if I can use the stock cam retainer ring for my 351C engine build.

I have a DOAE-L Block, and a Bullet Cam (Hydraulic Roller). I will be using CompCams Ultra Pro-Magnum Lifters.

I have the stock retainer.

Any advice is appreciated. I don't actually see much talk of thrust buttons on the interwebs for 351Cs, so I wonder if this is nececessary.
