That cam is not a foaming-at-the-mouth racing cam. Its what is now referred to as an "RV" cam. On my street engine, I have plenty of vacuum for the brakes, and the engine idles at 850 rpms & passed smog in CA. As for the rest, sure- it's a drop-in replacement for all but a Boss or HO engine so stock rockers are fine. I advise using brand new lifters with brand new cam, and the OEM valve springs are OK, but 32-yr-old springs are NOT a good idea. Use new ones as you're probably going to do a valve job while changing the cam anyway.
