Yup; the stock bulbs are 2 watt; by replacing them with 5 watt bulbs, you get to see your gauges after dark! I use bulbs sized for BMW or Porsche & made by OSRAM of Germany, but others work fine, too. Just don't go over 5 watt or enough heat will be generated to distort some plastic inside the speedo & tach
