It is a really high mileage car, but looks solid and sorted.

Don't let high mileage scare you away. Cars are like airplanes - hangar rot kills them. And most of the stories you read on this forum and the mail list about breakdowns when out for a drive occur to cars that are seldom driven. A car that's driven is often (but not always) a car that tends to be in better working order and better maintained.

When I was looking for a Pantera, I looked at cars ranging from 22,000 original miles up through 85,000 miles. The 85,000 mile car was the all-around best running, driving, handling, and braking car of the bunch, and that's the one I bought! I drove it daily for the first few years and it now has 106,000 miles. And, it's time to freshen the engine and change the clutch.
