WRT Spacers and horsepower...

I've read several real-life dyno tests where they tried to establish if a spacer hurt or helped hp. Skipping all the details, which I can't remember anyway, and getting to the result which is really what interests us, the answer is "it depends".

The point of the article was that the only way to tell if a spacer will help on YOUR engine is to try it, then put it on a dyno to see. They were unable to separate the variables sufficiently to say "If you are running such-and-such cam, or intake, or whatever, a spacer will ALWAYS help".

So Johnk, I think the only way to find out what it will do on YOUR engine is to try it. In the experiments I've seen, the results have not always followed the predicted result very well.
