Best tuning is done in a step procedure with a wide band O2 under normal in car conditions. But realize, that a Carb is NOT an accurate fuel metering device. I used a Wide band O2 to tune an Edelbrock on a near stock 350 chev and the best I could achieve was a range of 11.5 to 17:1 fuel ratio. Carbs just are not good. It is amazing, the Engine I tuned runs great and gets 20MPG in a 1983 pickup but the ratio is still all over the place. Even openloop EFI is better than a carb.
