To verify those prices for stock steel panels, try calling around to various vendors & asking about buying a stock steel hood or decklid. As for the reason the fiber parts are "expensive", that's yet another good question for those that sell such parts. Just keep in mind that Panteras are a VERY limited market, so tooling up for custom stuff is nearly always a money-losing proposition, regardless of the prices charged. Those "high-priced" brass window gears that every Pantera on the planet will eventually need? Tooling costs were close to $5000 about 15 years ago when 'someone' set this up. I seriously doubt if they've broken even yet.
