There are many companies advertising for ready to use carbon tubing, carbon hoses,.... in France a. o. ,and it doesn't seem very expensive at all. I doubt there would be any porosity problem, and I am sure it must be lighter than aluminium.
My understanding, by looking at the topic, is that no one has ever tried those as of today, on a Pantera ! I think I will give it a try on a GR4 replica and report to the Forum when the job is done ( after the winter) I wonder what the weight saving will be !
